(3.2 )The
following are ways to help five types of children with different behaviors.
Successful, these students are
academically successful in school. They work hard and cause few problems. They
like school and teachers. These students can be helped by keeping them busy
through class activities such as Quiz, group discussion give
them more complex challenging tasks encourage creativity in thinking and expression ( For example ) ,
have them look for different ways to check the collectedness of their arithmetic, have them prepare power
point presentations to share learning provide for their social and emotional
needs
Social, These students are more
interested in the social aspect of school life than in academic, they are
popular and friendly Their socializing can cause problem. These students can be
help through giving them counseling on the importance of academic effect of too
much socialization which can cause disease, distraction of culture. Also
teaching create conducive environment
such as which can attract learners to concentrate more in academic matters the availability of teaching and
learning materials, reduce harshness of the teachers in the classrooms and to
provide enough motivation which would favor them on academic matters rather
than engaging more in social issues
Alienated, Theses students may be
openly hostile toward the school and teachers, or they may be passive and
withdrawn these students should be helped thought counseling, teachers should
be friendly with such students also the teachers should educate other student to be close with
such students is highly needed which would establish positive relationship
students.
Dependent, such students are
emotionally and /or academically insecure. They need approval and help in order to approval and help such kind of
students then teachers to identify students who emotionally and or academically
insecure then the teacher to involve these students into various class
activities such as role play , before the class participating in debates ,
active learning as a participatory method toward learning and teaching.
Phantom such students are quit,
independent and seldom seen or heard. To help these students, teachers should
use different levels of teaching learning process including Autonomous level of
teaching learning, under this juncture should awake awareness, freedom and
responsibility in his students
Also teachers to
use memory level of teaching which base on mental discipline theory which
emphasize the importance of vigorous exercise for the development facilities
another level is understanding level based on relationships between the teacher
and students and student with other students ( Singh, 2005:25)
