and technology?
Learning refers
to the acquisition of knowledge or skills through experience, practice, or
study or by being taught.
Media is a plural
form of medium. Medium is a means through which information is shared among
people participating in any form of interaction.
This may be
verbal, non-verbal, written and online
conversation. Example language, newspapers, radio and TV.
Technology refers
to scientific method of achieving a practical purpose.
Generally
learning technology is the broad range of communication, information and
related technologies that can be used to support learning, teaching and
assessment. It is all about application of scientific procedures and principals
in teaching
.Learning with
technology means learning practically by using different media and technology,
example using computer to obtain information, so when a learner use this
computer he/she learning with technology. While learning from media and
technology is through observing or watching, example watching a TV and obtain
information this is learning from media, also when a learners observing a
teacher connecting a computer he/she learning from technology, then when a
student connect himself or her self now they are learning with technology.
Various
technologies are used to facilitate electronic learning. Most electronic
learning uses combinations of these techniques, including blogs, collaborative
software, electronic portfolios and virtual classrooms.
Audio Media
This refers to transmit
knowledge, skills and experiences by sounds. For example the radio has been
used in educational classrooms. Relent technologies have allowed classroom
teachers to stream audio over the internet. There are also web casts and
products available over the internet for students and teachers to
download. For example ihenes has various
podcasts available on a variety of subjects that can be downloaded for free.
Audio visual
media
These are equipment
use to transmit knowledge, skills, and experience by visualizing and sound.
Example videos
allow teachers to reach students who are visual learners and tend to learn by
seeing the material rather than hearing or reaching about it. Teachers can
access video chips through the internet instead of relying on DVD or VHS tapes.
Websites like you tube are used by many teachers. Teachers can use messaging
programs such as skype, Adobe connects, or webcam, to interact with guest
speakers and other experts. Interactive video games are being integrated in the
curriculum at both K-12 and higher education institutions.
Print Media
Transmit
knowledge or information through the using word. For example the use of
textbooks, worksheets, maps, charts, photographs, posters newspapers, journals
and it and outs.

Computer
software is another media which used to transform information through various
programs which found in computer like macro soft word, excel, power point.

this is another media where by people learn from;
Through the use of media and technology in
learning process have played great important among of these are:-
- Provide a highly learner-oriented and interactive environment in a less expensive way.
- New technologies could bring new opportunities for teachers to connect with student who are already spending large amount of time in these activities in creating a more collaborative learning environment.
- Also improve open access to education, including access to full degree programs.
- Better integration for non-full-time students, particularly in continuing education.
- Media and technology improved interactions between students and instructors.
- Students can be able to solve different problems which facing them independently.
- Acquisition of technological skills through practice with tools and computers.
